The wide-ranging, star-studded annual eating-and-drinking charitable event, the New York City Wine and Food Festival, returns to the city in October, with an array of parties, small dinners and tasting events.
The 15th anniversary of the New York event benefits God’s Love We Deliver and will take place at Hunter River Park’s Pier 76 and Pier 86, with some events at Industry City for the first time and another event at the Hard Rock Hotel near Rockefeller Center.
In 2019 the festival sold tickets to 45,000 guests, event founder Lee Schrager said. This year, Schrager said, he expects about 40,000. Typically, around 70% of ticketholders come from the city area, and 30% are out-of-town visitors. Chefs from as far away as Bangkok and Tuscany, Italy, will head to the event, which runs from Oct. 13 to Oct. 16.
