Police responded to a ‘troubled’ unknown call at an address in Oklahoma, US, and were told there was a dead child at the property when they arrived
The body of a three-year-old girl was found in a rubbish bin outside a home before her gran was charged with first-degree.
Police responded to a ‘troubled’ call on Tuesday afternoon in Oklahoma, US, and when they arrived at the property they found Riley Lynn Nolan dead inside a bin.
Officers said the child had “obvious signs of trauma to her body.”
According to police, Riley had recently been in the custody of her 60-year-old grandma Becky Ann Vreeland.
Vreeland was taken to police headquarters for questioning and is being held at the Cleveland County Jail on first-degree murder and child neglect charges,
Asays: “Yesterday afternoon, police responded to a trouble unknown call at 617 SW 151 St. Upon arrival, officers were told there was a deceased child at the residence.
“Officers found the body of three-year-old Riley Nolan in a residential trash receptacle at the home.
“The child had obvious signs of trauma to her body.
“The child had recently been in the custody of her grandmother, Becky Vreeland.
“Ms. Vreeland was transported to police headquarters where she was interviewed and subsequently booked into the Cleveland County Jail on a murder complaint.
